Early summer 2004 the five-piece rock act Davy Jones´ Locker arose from the ashes of a metalcore project and an industrial rock band to become one of the most interresting and mind-blowing up-and-coming bands Norway has ever produced. Davy Jones´ Locker play aggressive rock with a firm focus on melodic structure. Having brought some of the elements of hard rock/metal from earlier scientific research into the rock-genre and mixing that with the kindness of perfect melodies pretty much gives you the idea of where they stand musically. These guys are dead serious about their music. Their shows are intensely fueled with 110 % raw energy so bad that if you come to see them, they wont ever let you stand still...Nothing but pure earache, baby! Despite the fact that they've played together only since the early summer of 2004, they have achieved more than they could dare to hope for;One year after they started out they played Norway's biggest festival, the Quart Festival. A few weeks later the leading music radio station in their home country, NRK P3, picked Davy Jones´ Locker as "Artist of the week" and therefore their first release; the cp ep "Healthy People Prepare to Die" was given a lot of surfing on the airwaves in Norway.Their debut-album is printed in a first edition of 1000 copies, which are already sold out, and has been given great recognition in the Norwegian and international music press. Early 2006 Davy Jones´ Locker attended Bylarm 2006- the Norwegian version of South By South West, and got to expand their fan base a good deal. Møller (Turbonegro) talked to the band afterwards, telling them -"This concert is one of the best I've seen on the entire festival!". In August 2006 the band got the chance to jam with Dizzy Reid from Guns'n Roses as well as playing a handful of shows in Hollywood@ the legendary Viper Room, The Joint and the Cat Club. Several record labels and producers have been talking to the band and Davy Jones´ Locker are now working on new material for their first Full Length album. Keep checking back our Myspace for updates and info on the band to where this journey will take us.
